I can hardly believe I am now 3 months post-op! I have never been happier in my life. I went to the Dr on Wednesday for my follow up. Drum roll please....50 lbs lost! I am so excited! I feel fantastic. Still not where I want to be, but I am getting there. I always say, that I am a work in progress. For some, that makes them irritated at me. They think I am being hard on myself and negative. I look at it as a positive statement because I am working on making ME better. Is it not what we are suppose to do? Continually doing what ever we can to make us better people? There you go...I am a work in progress and I am proud of it!
At my Dr appt. I have 3 in one. First was with my Dr, then my Nutritionist, and last my Psychologist. The Psych Dr is there to help us deal with the emotions of weight loss and lack of not being able to over eat or to eat for comfort. I was happy because I do not feel that I struggle with these things any more. It is a very good feeling.
My Nutritionist said I am on the right track, just time to bum up my protein intake, (as usual), and bump up my exercise. Ya, I am NOT an exercise lover. But, you have to do, what you have to do. I want to hit my goals, so I have to do what is necessary to get there.
Dr Brown said, I am right on track! He also said if I up the protein, and up the exercise, I should be on track to lose another 30-40 lbs for my 6 month post-op. That would be 80-90 lb loss in 6 months! That is crazy! But I will take that challenge! I am on my way, no matter what it takes! my goal in total is a loss of 120-150 lb loss. If I can stay on track, I will be there by the end of the year! Whoot Whoot!
People ask me all the time, what this has done for my life. First and foremost, I feel fantastic! I feel healthier, happier, I fit in my clothes better, or should I say not at all! I need some serious retail therapy! I can run and play with my boys and not feel winded or feel as though I may die! I do not snore anymore. But cant seem to give up the Darth Vader sleep apnea mask. I have had it so long, I cant seem to sleep with out it! Go figure!
